In Memory of September 11, 2001

Today, we pause to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our nation. Nearly 3,000 lives were lost in the attacks on the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and aboard Flight 93. Each life taken was a son, daughter, mother, father, friend, or neighbor whose absence is still felt deeply.

We honor the first responders—firefighters, police officers, paramedics—who ran toward danger with courage and selflessness. We remember the ordinary citizens who became extraordinary heroes, and the families whose grief has endured with remarkable strength.

Out of tragedy, America found unity. For a time, differences faded, and we stood shoulder to shoulder as one nation, bound together by love of country and by compassion for one another.

As we reflect today, let us commit ourselves to carrying forward that spirit of unity, resilience, and hope. We must never forget the lives lost, the heroes made, and the lessons learned.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
