COUNTY COMMISSIONER CANDIDATES

I earned a degree in Forest Management from Colorado State University and began my career in wildland fire and land management, including service as a federal wildland firefighter. I later spent nearly 10 years in Montezuma County government as the Noxious Weed Department Head, managing budgets, grants, employees, and major projects.
I'm also a small business owner, nonprofit volunteer, and parent raising a family in Montezuma County.
I'm running for County Commissioner because I've seen county government from the inside—the successes, the challenges, and the growing frustration from both employees and residents. I believe Montezuma County has tremendous potential, but it needs leadership that is engaged, accessible, and focused on solving problems.
This campaign isn't about politics. It's about transparency, accountability, collaboration, and planning for the future. Most importantly, it's about the people who call Montezuma County home.
— Bonnie Anderson
As a fifth-generation Montezuma County resident, I have deep roots in this community and a lifelong commitment to its future. I was born and raised in Mancos, graduated from Mancos High School and San Juan Vocational/Technical School, I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 38 years. I have two children and three precious grandchildren. My daughter and her family live here. I understand the culture, history, and priorities of this county because I have lived them. Over the past 28 years, I have helped run successful local multi-million-dollar businesses, 15 years coaching high school basketball, and 20 years of community service on several public boards all in Montezuma County. I spent 10 years in the semiconductor industry from 1989-1998, mostly at Intel, a Fortune 500 Company. Together, these experiences have given me practical leadership skills that I will bring to the Commission. --Rodney Cox--

COUNTY CLERK & RECORDER CANDIDATES
I’m running for County Clerk and Recorder because I care about how this office serves our community—plain and simple. Like many of you, I’ve stood in line and just wanted things to be clear and easy. With my background in leadership, business, and public service, I bring fresh eyes and practical ideas to improve how things are done—making services easier to use, information easier to find, and processes secure and accurate. My goal is simple: to build on the strong foundation already in place while making government more transparent, user-friendly and efficient for the people of Montezuma County.
